A dance drama about a marriage built across cultures

When both your homes ask you to apologise for who you are, how do you decide where you belong?

A British-born South Asian woman and an Indian-born man build a life together and find deeper questions waiting underneath, about culture, home and belonging. A love story about proving your identity, not just to each other, but to a whole community watching.

The Show

Are You Even Indian? is a dance-drama about a marriage built across cultures. A British-born South Asian woman and an Indian-born man fall in love and start building a life together, a meet-cute, wedding dances, plans for a shared future. It feels like fate.

But underneath, deeper questions are waiting: which country is home, what language their child will speak, and who gets to decide what makes someone truly Indian. As personal choices collide with family expectations and social labels, the couple has to confront love, compromise, and what it means to live in between, neither fully British, nor fully Indian.
